The person on the other side of the pitch.

For thirty years I decided which stories made air.  Now that judgment works for you.

I spent three decades in television news, most of it in one of the nation's most competitive news markets. I rose from producer to executive producer before serving as Managing Editor and Assistant News Director. Every day, I decided which stories made the news and which didn't.

Here's what that job teaches you: media attention isn't luck.

Behind every story you see on the news, someone made a case for it. Someone framed it, timed it, and put the right person in front of the camera. For years, I was the one on the other side of that pitch, deciding what made the cut.

Now I use everything I learned to earn attention for people whose work deserves it.

My clients are founders, nonprofits, experts, authors, and organizations doing work that matters. Some need a media strategy built from scratch. Some want to become the trusted voice reporters call when news breaks. Some need coaching to feel confident before the camera comes on. Others simply want someone in their corner who sees the story before everyone else does.

What they all get is an executive producer’s judgment.

I know what makes an assignment desk lean in because I was the person making those decisions. I know how to craft a story that a newsroom wants, rather than the pitch it deletes.  I'll tell you honestly which one you have, then help you earn the yes.

Today, I help clients earn attention where it matters most. They've appeared everywhere from local television to TODAY and NPR, and they've become trusted voices on the stories the country is watching, from legal cases that have grabbed national headlines to conversations shaping education, healthcare, sports, and culture. I also partner with organizations like The Lede Company on tailored media strategies and national campaigns that get results.

After three decades leading newsrooms, hiring journalists, mentoring producers, and building relationships across the industry, I know how newsrooms think, what gets their attention, and how to bridge the gap between a great story and great coverage.

I bring an insider's knowledge to work for you and your brand, guided by the same belief I shared with producers and reporters for years:  There's always room for something good.

Let's tell your story.

Tell me what you're working on and where you want it to go.
